This is an art nouveau navette or marquise style Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl & black marcasite ring.

The pearl is 5.25mm round. It has good luster with light pink overtones. There are numerous black marcasites surround the the pearl. None are missing or chipped.

It is set in solid sterling silver with detailed cut throughs. It is stamped "925" and "THAI". Jewelry, especially rings, were a popular export from Thailand around the 1940's. US size 6.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
