This is a stunning vintage Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl necklace and bracelet set by Bluebird.
The pearls on the necklace range from 6.50-6.75mm. They are round with great luster and bright rosy pink overtones. Very slightly graduated. The necklace measures 15 inches, it is a choker. The bracelet has pearls that measure 6.50mm and the total length is 6 3/4 inch. Medium amount of natural blemishes on the pearls.
Both pieces have a large solid white gold rose clasp. The clasps have a brushed texture and are stamped "14K". They have a safety lock on the side. The set was made by Bluebird and comes with the original tag which states "BLUEBIRD" "CULTURED PEARLS". From 1950's-1960's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
