This is an exceptionally rare natural Victorian seed pearl1 14K yellow gold and green jade necklace.
It features a plentiful amount of baroque seed pearls that range from 2.00mm-5.25mm. They range in color from white to cream to brownish. Good luster on the majority but each pearl is unique and it varies throughout the necklace. They all have their own character! These are natural and not cultured pearls.
The clasp is a box style with a bright green jade/jadeite nugget set in the center with claw prongs. The stone is not a round cabochon but an organic shape. It has an electric green color but is patchy with white areas. The back of the clasp has hand detailed floral cutouts and is stamped "14K". There is a side safety lock. Total length is 28 inches. Late 1800's to early 1900's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
