This is a lovely high quality vintage sakura or cherry blossom brooch or pin made with Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearls.
The pearls are 4.50-4.75mm and are round. They have great luster with rosy pink overtones. They are a white/cream color.
The brooch features cherry blossoms and leaves which are surrounded by a detailed circle of silver with milgrain edging and hand engraving. Stamped "SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling. From Japan 1940-1960's. It measures 1 3/8 inches long.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
