This is a lovely petite Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl brooch with engraved floral details.
The pearls are 4.00-6.50mm and are graduated with the smaller pearls near the stem. They have great luster with rosy pink overtones.
It is made of solid sterling silver and is set among hand engraved and milgrain leaves. It is not stamped but tests as solid sterling silver. It measures 1 inch long. From Japan 1930's-1950's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
