This is an authentic petite Mikimoto Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearl leaf brooch.
The pearls are 3.75-4.50mm round. They have great luster with bright rosy pink overtones. Nice quality and very small.
It is made of solid sterling silver and is stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "SI" in a square for sterling silver. It measures 1 1/4 inches long. It has an older style trombone clasp, from 1910's-1940's, Japan.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
