These are a rare and completely authentic vintage pair of Mikimoto Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl screwback earrings.
The pearls are highly lustrous with rosy overtones and measure 4.75-5.75mm. They are set among high polished ribbon designs.
They are made of solid sterling. Stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "S" in a square for silver. Measure 7/8 inch high. From Japan 1940's-1970's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
