These are a unique pair of engraved Mikimoto Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl mid century burst screwback earrings. 

The pearls are highly lustrous with rosy overtones and measure 3.50-6.50mm. They are white in color. They are set among an engraved firework burst pattern.

They are made of solid sterling. Stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "S" in a square for sterling silver. Measure 3/4 inch high. From Japan 1930's-1980's.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
