This is a lovely pair of vintage Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearl screw back earrings by Fuji Pearl. Fuji Pearl is an older brand that compared to Mikimoto until it went out of business in the 1950's.
The pearls are 2.50-5.50mm round. They have fantastic luster with rosy overtones. They are surrounded by lovely engraved & milgrain leaf details.
They are stamped "S" in a square which is an older Japanese mark for sterling silver. Comes in the original wooden box. It is signed "FUJI PEARL" "TOKYO JAPAN". It is in good condition but has tape on the back which cannot be removed. From the 1940's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
