This is a lovely vintage Japanese akoya saltwater blue cultured pearl leaf branch brooch.
The pearls are 5.50-6.00mm and are round to slightly baroque. They have great luster with light pink overtones and are a medium grayish blue color. Some wrinkles and blemishes as is common with baroque pearls.
It is made of solid sterling silver and is stamped "SILVER". Highly detailed branches with hand engraved leaves and milgrain edging. It measures 2 1/4 inches long.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned. Some tarnish, old repair on the pin back.
