This is a vintage baroque blue Japanese saltwater akoya pearl choker necklace.
The pearls are an uneven blue/gray color with good luster, rosy overtones and a medium amount of blemishes. They measure an average of 6.50-6.75mm. Some have lighter color or less luster than other, some have dark spots.
Clasp is simple yellow gold filigree fishhook. It is stamped
"585" for 14K gold. Total length is 16 inches. It is a choker. From mid-century.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
