This is a lovely pair of modernist Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl screwback earrings.
The pearls are 5.75mm round. They have fantastic luster with rosy overtones. They are set in solid sterling silver with milgrain details around the opening. They are stamped "A SILVER" for sterling. Total length is 3/4 inch. From mid-century Japan.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
