This is a unique vintage strand of baroque rainbow silver color Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearls.
The pearls are 5.75-6.50mm and baroque. They have a great luster with rosy pink overtones. The color is unusual and is a medium silver color with rainbow colored overtones. They have pink gray, cream and greenish reflections. Very unique coloration! Some blemishes as is common with baroque pearls.
Clasp is in solid solid sterling and features hand engraving and milgrain edging with a small round blue pearl set in the center. It is stamped "STERLING". Total length is 31 inches. From Japan 1930's-1950's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
