This is a stunning mid-century modern Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl lily of the valley brooch.
The pearls are 5.00-5.75mm round. They have great luster with rosy pink overtones. They hang below the leaves and move freely.
It is made of solid sterling silver. The leaves have a milgrain or beaded texture and make it look like lace. It is stamped "SILVER". Comes in the original box from Taiwan (pearls are from Japan). It measures 2 3/8 inches long. From mid-century or a little later.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
