This is a retro mid-century modern Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl tie bar.

The pearl is large and measures 8.00mm round. It has mirror like luster with bright rosy overtones. It is featured on top of a sandblasted silver texture with a high polished bar through the center. Very mid-century look.

The setting is made of silver. Stamped "SILVER" "850" for slightly less pure than sterling. Total length is 1 1/2 inch. From Japan 1950's-1960's.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
