This is a lovely vintage sterling silver & Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl tie bar.

The pearl is 5.50mm round. It has great luster with bright rosy overtones.

The setting is made of solid silver and features a dangling knot design. Stamped "SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling silver. It is from mid-Century Japan. Total length is 1 3/4 inch. 

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
