This is a lovely quality strand of vintage Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearls.
The pearls measure 5.50-5.75mm and are round. They have great luster with very bright rosy pink overtones. Small to medium amount of natural blemishes. They are a white color.
Clasp is in solid solid sterling and features hand engraving, milgrain and a single pearl set in the center. It is stamped "SILVER" which is an older stamp for sterling silver. Total length is 16.75 inches. From Japan 1930's-1980's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung. Few scratches on the clasp.
