This is an unusual triple strand baroque Japanese akoya cultured Mikimoto pearl necklace.
The pearls range from 6.25-7.00mm. They are a baroque shape with great luster, bright pink overtones an an off round shape. Some of them are ringed. Moderate amount of blemishes.
Clasp is in yellow gold with floral and beaded details. Very high quality. It is stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "K14" for 14K solid gold. It is a slide lock type where you pinch the metal at the top and slide it into the clasp. Very secure. Total length is 16.50, 17.50 & 18.50 inch.
This is an unusual piece as I have never seen a Mikimoto necklace like this. It was found at an estate. The claps is authentic Mikimoto but I am unsure about the pearls. They could have been a custom commission from Mikimoto or modified. Price reflects this fact.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
