This is a lovely mid-century modern Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl tie tac.

The pearl is 6.75mm round. It has fantastic luster with rosy overtones.

The setting and stem is made of solid 14K yellow gold and is stamped "K14" for 14K. The back of the tie tac and button loop is not gold as is common.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
