This is a lovely mid-century Mikimoto Pearl Island Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl tie bar.
The pearl is 6.50mm round. It has fantastic luster with bright rosy overtones.
It is made of solid sterling. Stamped "SILVER" which older Japanese mark for sterling silver. Total length is 2 Inch. From mid-century Japan. From Pearl Island museum and pearl farm in Toba, Japan. Comes with the original box.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
