This is a lovely quality mid-century modern Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl brushed cluster brooch.

The pearls are 5.25-5.50mm round. They have fantastic luster with sharp rosy pink overtones.

It is made of solid sterling silver and is quite long. It is stamped "S" in a square which is an older mark for sterling silver. It measures 2 1/2 inches long. From Japan 1950's-1960's. 

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
