This is a large stunning mid-century modernist pearl brooch with blue/gray Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearls.
The pearls are large and measure 8.50-9.00mm with a silver/blue body color. They have very good luster with rosy overtones. Quite large.
It is made of solid sterling silver and an unusual texture. Stamped "STERLING" for solid sterling silver. It measures 2 1/2 inches long. From mid-century Japan.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
