This is a lovely pair of vintage Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl, marcasite and silver art deco drop earrings.
The pearls measure 5.50mm and have soft luster and rosy pink overtones. They are a cream/white color. They are surrounded by various sizes of black marcasites. None are missing.
They are stamped "925". The backs are a butterfly closure and are stamped "835" for coin silver, a little less pure than sterling. Wonderful light milgrain details on the edges.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
