This is a stunning and large set of vintage Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearls.
The pearls measure 8.00-8.50mm and are a light to medium cream color with rosy pink overtones and great luster. Light amount of blemishes and they are very good quality for the size. Most are round, but a few are very slightly semi baroque.
The clasp is solid sterling silver and is stamped "SILVER". It is an art deco industrial engraved design with a single small pearl set into the center. Total length is 15 inch, it is a tight choker. From Japan 1930's-1950's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
