This is a lovely high quality strand of vintage graduated saltwater akoya cultured pearls by Koya.
The pearls range from 3.50-7.50mm. They are have fantastically bright luster and rosy pink overtones. They are a creamy pink color. Very few blemishes.
Clasp is in solid sterling silver. It is stamped "SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling. It is accented with milgrain and hand engraving. Total length is 16.50 inches.
Comes with the original wood, silk and velvet box that is stamped "KOYA" "NIKKATSU ARCADE" "TOKYO". Has some chipping on the outside but only light wear on the inside. Overall good condition for its age. From Japan 1920's-1940's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
