This is a stunning mid-century Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl tie bar.

The pearl is 5.75mm round. It has mirror like luster with extremely bright rosy overtones.

It is made of solid sterling. Stamped "SILVER" and older Japanese mark for sterling. Measures 1 1/8 inch across. It is set in gray mother of pearl and surrounded by high polished metal.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
