This is a stunning pair of Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl screwback black hexagon earrings.

The pearls are 4.00mm round. They have good luster with light rosy overtones and white color. There is a single 6.00mm black onyx cabochon at the top of each earring.

They are set in solid sterling silver with a black enamel coating. The coating is engraved and is a lovely contrast. Stamped "SILVER"which is an older mark for sterling. The drop is about 1 1/4 inch. From Japan 1940's-1960's.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned. Some of the black coating has light wear through.
