This is a stunning pair of Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl screwback heart earrings.
The pearls are 4.00mm round. They have good luster with light rosy overtones and white color.
They are set in solid sterling silver with a black enamel coating. They are engraved through the black coating which shows the original silver color, very stunning contrast. Stamped "SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling. Comes in the original box. From Japan 1940's-1960's. They are large and have a 2 5/8 inch drop.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned. Some staining on the inside of the box. Some of the black coating has light wear through.
