This is a stunningly detailed Art Nouveau Japanese blue & white akoya saltwater cultured pearl bracelet.
The pearls are of various sizes and range from 2.50-7.50mm. They have great luster with bright rosy overtones and range from a cream/white to a blue/gray color. Some are round but most are a baroque shape. Very organic and lovely detailed design.
It is set in solid sterling silver and has a wonderful grape leaf motif with delicate milgrain edges. Hand engraved details go down the side. Has a permanent safety chain attached. Stamped "SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling silver and "T" in a circle for an unknown designer. From Japan 1940's-1950's. Opening measures 2 1/4 inch, for a 6.50-7 inch wrist.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
