This is a lovely mid-century modern Japanese saltwater cultured akoya pearl and sterling silver cufflink and shirt stud set by Furuya.
They feature lustrous pearls with bright rosy overtones. They measure 5.75-6.50mm and are round.
Each piece features a white mother of pearl disk with hand engraving and milgrain around the edges. They are stamped "SILVER". Cufflinks measure 3/4 inch, shirt studs measures 3/8 inches. Shirt studs have a spring mechanism. Original box is made of red velvet. It is stamped "CULTURED PEARLS" "FURUYA PEARL TOKYO". From Japan, 1950's-1960's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
