This is a stunning example of an unusual Japanese Blue akoya saltwater cultured pearl necklace.
The pearls are baroque and measure 5.50-5.75mm and have good luster with rosy pink overtones. The color ranges from a bright blue to gray blue to pinkish blue and green. Very unique range of colors. Medium amount of blemishes and imperfections as is common in baroque pearls.
Clasp is modernist style with a flat tablet of high quality lapis lazuli on both sides. The lapis is a royal blue color with small gold flecks. Stamped "585" for solid 14K yellow gold. Stunning mid-century piece. Total length is 15.50 & 16 inches, it is a choker.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung. Pearl have not been tested for treatments, enhancements or dyes.
