This is a quality set of mid-century modern Japanese saltwater cultured akoya pearl and sterling silver shirt button studs by Maruwa.
They feature lustrous pearls with bright rosy overtones. They measure 5.75mm and are round. They are a medium blue/gray color. They are set on top of white mother of pearl cabochon disks.
They are stamped "SILVER" for sterling silver. They measure 1 inch long. Original box is made of blue velvet, cream silk and lavender hard plastic. It is stamped "MARUWA PEARL CO" "CULTURED PEARLS" "MADE IN JAPAN". From Japan, 1950's-1970's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
