This is a quality set of mid-century modern Japanese saltwater cultured akoya pearl and sterling silver cufflinks and tie tacs by Maruwa.
They feature lustrous pearls with bright rosy overtones. They measure 4.25-5.50mm and are round. They are set on top of black mother of pearl that shows lovely rainbow overtones when it catches the light.
They are stamped "SILVER" for sterling silver. Cufflinks measure 3/4 inch. Tie tack has a safety chain and back which is traditional made out of steel. Original box is made of blue velvet. It is stamped "MARUWA PEARL CO" "CULTURED PEARLS" "MADE IN JAPAN". From Japan, 1950's-1970's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
