This is a lovely authentic vintage Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl tie tac by Mikimoto.
The pearl is 7.50mm round. It has great luster with rosy overtones.
The setting and stem is made of solid sterling silver, not stamped for metal, but the back is stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto. Back is made of base metal which is common. Mid-century Japan.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
