This is an unusual pair of antique Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl screwback earrings.
The pearls are set vertically around a lattice type structure with finely engraved detailing. The pearls range in color from pinkish to white to blue. They are about 4.50mm and have sharp luster and slight rosy overtones. They are stamped "STERLING".
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
