This is a simple but elegant pair of vintage Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl screwback earrings.
The pearls have great luster and rosy pink overtones. They are large and measure 8.50mm. They are surrounded by a swirling pattern with milgrain edging.
They are set in solid sterling silver. Stamped "STERLING" for sterling silver. Total height is 1/2 inch. Roughly from 1950's-1980's Japan.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
