These are a rare vintage pair of Mikimoto Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl & sterling silver screwback earrings.
The pearls are highly lustrous with rosy pink overtones and measure 4.50-4.75mm. The earrings feature an abstract design with milgrain and hand engraving.
They are made of solid sterling. Stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "SIL" for sterling silver. Measure 7/8 inch high. From Japan 1930's-1960's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
