This is a vintage matinee length strand of saltwater Japanese Akoya pearls. It comes with an enhancer or shorter clip.
The pearls measure 6.50-7.00mm and round. Good quality. They have great luster with rosy pink overtones. Medium to light amount of natural blemishes. The enhancer has five small seed pearls.
Clasp is in solid solid sterling and features hand engraving. It is stamped "SILVER" which is an older mark for sterling. Total length is 24 inches. The shorter is not stamped but appears to be white gold but might be sterling. From Japan 1950's-1980's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
