These are a rare and unique vintage pair of Mikimoto Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl screwback earrings.
The pearls are highly lustrous with rosy pink overtones and measure 5.25-5.50mm. They are set on a chain that dangles below a mid-century style coiled bell that makes a lovely jingling noise when it moves.
They are made of solid sterling. Stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "SILVER" for sterling silver. Measure 1 3/8 inch high. From Japan 1950's-1980's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
