These are a rare and detailed vintage pair of Mikimoto Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl screwback earrings. 

The pearls are highly lustrous with rosy overtones and measure 3.50-7.00mm. They are set among hand engraved and milgrained swirls. The bottom pearl moves freely.

They are made of solid sterling. Stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "SILVER"  for sterling silver. Measure 1 inch high. From Japan 1950's-1970's.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
