This is a vintage Amita black mid-century sterling silver & Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl tie bar.
The pearl is 5.50mm round. It has great luster with bright rosy overtones. It is surrounded by iconic scenes of Japan including a tori gate, Mt Fuji, sakura and a landscape patter on a black coating.
The setting is made of solid silver. Stamped "STERLING 950" which is slightly more pure than sterling silver. It is from mid-Century Japan. Total length is 2 1/8 inch.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned. Some of the black coating is slightly worn off.
