This is a retro mid-century Mikimoto Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl cufflink set in the original box.
The pearls are 5.00mm round. They have fantastic luster with bright rosy overtones. They are set into a rainbow/black/gray disk of mother of pearl.
They are made of solid sterling. Stamped "M" in a clamshell for Mikimoto and "SILVER" which older Japanese mark for sterling silver. Total length is 5/8 Inch. From mid-century Japan.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
