This is a high quality vintage mid-century strand of Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearls & 18K solid rose gold.
The pearls are a golden cream color and measure 7.25-7.50mm. They are round with great luster and rosy overtones.
The clasp is a detailed hook style with a hand engraved butterfly pattern and delicate milgrain. A single 2.75mm pearl is set in the center. It is stamped "K18" for solid 18K rose gold. Total length is 14.50 inch, it is a tight mid-neck choker or for a petite person. From 1930's-1980's Japan.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
