This is a stunning mid-century Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl tie bar.
The pearl is 5mm round. It has mirror like luster with extremely bright rosy overtones. It is set on a disk of round black onyx.
It is made of solid sterling. Stamped "STERLING" "900". Measures 1 7/8 inch across. Some light scratching, could use a polish if desired.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
