This is a lovely pair of vintage Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearl screwback earrings by Fuji Pearl. Fuji Pearl is an older brand that compared to Mikimoto until it went out of business in the 1950's.
The pearls are 6.75mm round. They have great luster with rosy overtones. They are surrounded by detailed engraved & milgrained double leaf details.
They are stamped "STERLING" on the back. Comes in the original velvet and silk box. Earrings measure 7/8 inch. The box is signed "FUJI PEARL" "CULTURED PEARL" "GINZA TOKYO" "MADE IN JAPAN". It is in good condition. It also comes with the outer box. From the 1950's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned. One earring has been repaired.
