This is a lovely vintage Japanese akoya saltwater cultured pearl swirling ribbon brooch or pin.
The pearls are large and measure 7.25-7.50mm round. They have high luster with very bright rosy pink overtones.
It is made of solid sterling silver and textured. The center of the brooch is sandblasted while the ends of the loops are high polished. It is stamped "SILVER" for solid sterling silver. It measures 1 3/4 inches long. From Japan 1950's-1980's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
