This is a quality mid-century brooch composed of Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearls and sterling silver.

The pearls are 6.50-7.00mm round. They have fantastic luster with bright rosy pink overtones. They are a light cream color.

It is made of solid sterling silver and has a unique sun or circle design of leaves with milgrain interior edging. Stamped "STERLING" for sterling silver. From Japan 1950-1980's. It measures 1 3/4 inches long.

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
