This is wonderful vintage leafy swirling brooch composed of Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearls and sterling silver.
The pearls are 5.75-6.00mm round. They are highly lustrous with bright rosy pink overtones. They are a white/pink color and are good quality.
It is made of solid sterling silver. It has a swirling leaf design with hand engraving and milgrain. It is stamped "SILVER" "950" which is an older mark for sterling silver. It measures 1 3/4 inches long. From Japan 1940's-1960's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
