This is a stunning and rare pair of vivid blue Japanese saltwater akoya cultured pearl screwback earrings.
The pearls measure 4.00-5.25mm and are round. They have fantastic luster with rosy overtones. They are a deep vivid blue color and are set into rose gold leaves with fine engraving and milgrain. Stamped "K10" for 10K solid gold. Total drop is 1 1/2 Inch. From Japan 1920's-1950's.
All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned.
