This is an antique baroque saltwater akoya cultured pearl double strand necklace with a black star sapphire on the clasp.

The pearls measure 5.25-5.50mm with great luster and light rosy overtones. Medium amount of natural blemishes. Some variation in the luster. Very slightly graduated. 

The clasp is solid sterling silver and is a box style with pearls and a single black star sapphire cabochon. It is stamped "SILVER" for sterling. Total length is 19.25 & 20 inch. Mid-century or earlier. 

All pearls are truly vintage and have only been lightly cleaned and restrung.
